In a shocking development earlier this week, House Bill 18-1175 relating to the Sunset Review of Community Association Manager Licensing (that would have continued manager licensing for an additional 5 years) was defeated before the Senate Financing Committee. So, what does this mean for community association managers?
The manager licensure program will begin its winding down process and is expected to terminate on June 30, 2019. Let’s not forget that there is still a 2019 legislative session ahead of us, so things can certainly change prior to the formal termination of the manager licensure program. In the meantime, licensed community association managers should continue to remain in good standing and stay up to date with continuing education credits.
Stay tuned for further updates regarding manager licensure and other legislative changes affecting common interest communities.
